The University of Queensland has been recognised as one of Australia’s leading research institutions with the fastest growing influence in The Australian’s 2025 Research magazine.
19 UQ researchers were named leaders of their field, and the University was recognised as the top research institution across Australia in 27 fields, and around the world in 2.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry AC said the annual publication recognised and celebrated the valuable contribution Australian researchers make.
“This list provides a comprehensive picture of Australian research capability and highlights the impact of our researchers who are helping to solve complex global challenges,” Professor Terry said.
“Our investment in cutting-edge research infrastructure and strong focus on industry and government collaboration enables our researchers to undertake quality high-impact research, and this is reflected by UQ’s ‘fast mover’ status this year.”
