Some UQ places available for second semester

24 April 1997

The University of Queensland will offer a limited number of places in the mid-year offer round.

Academic Registrar Neville Lamb said some places were available in the following bachelors courses: arts, business (management), commerce, economics, business (hospitality management) and business (tourism management).

Mr Lamb said the mid-year intake was designed to provide flexibility and to address student needs. The intake could take into account special circumstances of students, such as disadvantage through being forced to wait for admission until next year.

It also allowed some limited internal transfer between courses where places were available.

Application forms are now available from the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre, from the University of Queensland, St Lucia and Gatton campuses, or at Brisbane Customs House.

Closing date is May 23, 1997 with offers to be made on June 18, 1997.
