The Director, University of Queensland Gatton College, Professor Craig Pearson said members of the University community were in mourning following the death of a 23-year-old student in a football game at Warwick yesterday afternoon.

"We were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of this promising young student in a representative A Grade game," Professor Pearson said.

"The University extends its sympathy to family and friends at this tragic loss."
