University plans reunion weekend

25 May 1998

The University of Queensland will hold a Rediscover your University reunion weekend at the St Lucia campus on July 11 and 12, commencing with morning tea in the cloister at 10.30am on July 11.

Graduates will be able to take a leisurely stroll around the campus or join other alumni on guided walking and mini-bus tours.

Items of interest will include University museums, the $9.2 million high-technology library, the SunShark solar car and musical items by the University Regiment Band. Graduates are encouraged to picnic by the University lakes, or lunch at the University Staff and Graduates Club or at Wordsmiths.

A weekend highlight will be a luncheon for graduates of 50-plus years at noon on July 11 at Women's College. A grand reunion dinner open to anyone who wishes to attend will be held at the Students' Union that evening.
