UQ makes mid-year offers for student places

The University of Queensland will make approximately 270 offers in the first Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre mid-year-offer round.

Manager of the University's Courses and Admissions section Claron Driscoll said offers had been made for places at the University's St Lucia, Gatton and new Ipswich campuses.

A total of 60 offers have been made for UQ Ipswich courses, including the bachelor of business (communication), business (hospitality management), business (tourism management), business (travel management), business (general), social science, electronic commerce, contemporary studies and information environments.

"Further offers may still be made for UQ Ipswich courses in the next round on July 7," she said.

Ms Driscoll said offer materials would be posted out on Wednesday, June 16 and applicants had a week to notify QTAC if they planned to accept their offers.

The due date for enrolment for this current round of QTAC mid-year offers is Friday, July 2, 1999.
