Volunteers wanted for UQ research project

20 June 2002

University of Queensland researchers are seeking the opinions of Brisbane people about the use of natural resources in Australia’s Tropical North.

The researchers in UQ’s School of Economics need help from members of the general public to answer a set of questions.

“We are not seeking expert answers, only personal views,” Dr Clevo Wilson said. “All answers will be strictly confidential and will be used only for scientific purposes.”

Dr Wilson said participants were required to visit The University of Queensland on Tuesday July 9 or Saturday July 13 (for two hours) to take part in this survey.

All participants would receive a gift, tea or coffee and be provided with some interesting information about Australia’s Tropical North plus some further opportunities. Free parking would be available, if required.

People wishing to participate or requiring more information can contact Jane Johnston, telephone 07 3371 4641 before July 2.

Media: for further information, contact Professor Clem Tisdell (telephone 07 3365 6306) or Dr Clevo Wilson (telephone 07 3365 6645).
