Youngsters with ADHD needed for UQ research

11 June 2003

The University of Queenslandês Psychology Clinic is asking parents of children diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to help in an important research project.

The project will evaluate strategies from a new parenting program and measure the overall well-being and parenting style of participants.

Volunteers will provide valuable information about the appropriateness and acceptability of the existing program.

The project may also result in new programs specifically designed for children with ADHD.

Parents will be asked to fill out questionnaires before attending one session at the clinic to view a video demonstration of parenting strategies from the new program.

To participate, or for more information, contact: Renee Anderson, email reneeand@psy.uq.edu.au; telephone or facsimile on (07) 3206 3074; mobile 0403 237 419.
