Dutton Park ferry pontoon update

25 February 2005

Brisbane City Council has advised the University it will replace its sunken Dutton Park ferry pontoon at UQ St Lucia campus with a temporary facility to be operational from April 5.

Until that time both UQ/Dutton Park and CityCat services will operate from UQ’s CityCat ferry terminal near the corner of Blair Drive and Sir William MacGregor Drive.

A Council spokesperson said the Council would implement an additional ferry service to the CityCat in the morning peak times from first week of semester (February 28). He said the Council would monitor the situation to determine if and when additional services were required.

UQ staff and students are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time to get to their destination.

Feedback and enquiries can be directed to Brisbane City Council’s contact centre at 3403 8888 or TransLink at http://www.transinfo.qld.gov.au/ or telephone 13 12 30.
