Time running out to apply to UQ

20 January 2006

Students have until Monday, January 23 to respond to offers for tertiary entry via the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) in the major offer round.

The University of Queensland has made more than 9000 offers for tertiary entry in this round and will make extra offers in the final offer round next month.

The second round of offers will be released on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Monday, January 23 is also the last date to apply, change preferences, or submit documentation for inclusion in the February round.

UQ will have some places available in this round, with the largest number available for programs at the Ipswich and Gatton campuses. Some places for Arts, Science and other programs will also be available at the St Lucia campus.

Applicants who are not offered a place in their ideal programs could consider a number of alternative pathways for improving their chance to enter their desired program at a later date.

For more information about UQ programs, visit www.uq.edu.au/study, or to change or make a late application, visit QTAC`s website at www.qtac.edu.au.
