University of Queensland Business School supports the RSPCA

University of Queensland Business School (UQBS) has donated 20 computers to RSPCA Queensland for use in their Brisbane thrift shops.

UQBS information services manager Donna Ashelford is a long-time supporter of the RSPCA and regularly contributes her services as a kitten foster mother.

Ashelford said she was currently fostering two kittens.

“I look after litters when the kittens are too young to be made available for adoption,” she said.

“My local RSPCA office at Fairfield was having computer trouble the other day and that’s what made me think of them when it was time to relocate 30 or so computers we no longer needed.”

“We always try to donate computers to organisations in need rather than trying to sell them and have given computers to a number of Brisbane state primary and high schools.”

“RSPCA Queensland took 20 computers and another 10 will go to Chapel Hill State School.”

Retail Manager for RSPCA Queensland Glen Jones said the computers would be used in RSPCA thrift shops in Brisbane with one or two also likely to end up at the Gold Coast or Gympie.

“We are very grateful for donations as they help us continue our important work protecting and caring for sick, neglected, and abandoned animals,” he said.
