How much is that doggy in the window?

UQ's School of Veterinary Science recently rescued 11 dogs from the pound, and set about finding them new homes. Eight of the dogs have already been adopted leaving only three still in need of a loving family.

The three dogs available for adoption are Lola, a 5-6yr old, female Cattle Dog; Ziggie, a 2yr old, female Staffy and Benny, a 2yr old, male German shorthaired pointer cross.

Animal welfare technician Nicole Richards said the dogs had been great to work with and deserved a comfortable place to live.

“Throughout their stay they have received daily exercise, socialisation, enrichment and training by an animal enrichment team," she said.

“Our dogs are all beautiful and healthy with very bright personalities; they need to go to loving homes with new owners who are going to give them as much love as they will give you.”

The dogs, which are de-sexed, vaccinated, wormed and micro chipped and have received basic training, are available for an adoption fee of $150.
