Hearing Awareness Week - UQ experts available

Professor Louise Hickson, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
Professor Hickson, recognised internationally as a leader in audiology, can speak about the effects of hearing loss with ageing and the use of hearing aids.

Dr Barbra Timmer, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
Dr Timmer, an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in Audiology at UQ and Senior Scientist for a global hearing care company Sonova, can speak about the impact of mild degrees of hearing loss in adults, hearing loss awareness and the benefits of hearing technology beyond speech understanding.
