Boost for research to predict genetic disease risk

A new genetic testing regime for sick children with immune conditions could slash diagnosis waiting times from 12 months to as little as 2 weeks, University of Queensland research has found.

A technology developed at UQ allowing scientists to observe how disease-related proteins behave inside living neurons will be used to advance early drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases.
