UQ sculptor Rhyl Hinwood AM has completed the 50th and final grotesque for UQ’s Great Court, honouring the late Margaret Valadian. Ms Valadian was the first Indigenous Australian woman to graduate from UQ, and dedicated her life to improving the lives of individuals and communities through education.

The Margaret Valadian grotesque is located in the Great Court, at the Parnell building (7).
