UQ researcher secures $1.5m in NHMRC funding for Partnership Projects

10 November 2025

A University of Queensland researcher has been awarded $1.5 million from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) as part of the Partnership Projects.

The Partnership Projects scheme enables collaboration between researchers and policy makers to translate findings into practice to improve community health services and processes.

Dr Siobhan Loughnan will advance family health outcomes by connecting health departments, maternity services, and support groups across Australia to create a national Perinatal Loss Care Pathway, which will ensure families receive the best possible care after the loss of a baby.
