Professor Bronwyn Fredericks awarded Fulbright Scholarship

UQ Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement) Professor Bronwyn Fredericks has been named a 2026 Fulbright Scholar, recognised for her leadership in social justice and improving Indigenous health and education outcomes. 

As part of the program, Professor Fredericks will travel to Harvard University to explore how coordinated research, funding and cross-sector collaboration can strengthen Indigenous futures. 

Professor Fredericks said she is committed to systemic and structural change, building strong foundations in education, and creating long-term opportunities for future generations. 

The Fulbright Scholarship Program supports academic and cultural exchange between Australia and the United States, helping foster mutual understanding through research and collaboration.
