Second round QTAC offers close soon

14 January 1999

January 25 is the closing date for people wishing to change their preferences through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) for consideration in the February 3 tertiary offer round, according to University Manager, Courses and Admissions Claron Driscoll.

She said the University of Queensland expected to have about 7000 places available for entry-level to the University's St Lucia, Ipswich and Gatton campuses this year.

Popular University of Queensland courses with applicants in the first QTAC round of January 15 include the bachelor of business (management), bachelor of commerce, bachelor of economics and bachelor of arts (architecture).

The University is offering places for the first time at its UQ Ipswich campus, opening in February, 1999. The campus will offer innovative courses, hi-tech facilities and state -of-the-art flexible delivery. Courses available at UQ Ipswich include the bachelor of contemporary studies, bachelor of electronic commerce, bachelor of business (communication), bachelor of education (graduate entry), bachelor of information environments and the bachelor of social science.

Applications will close in May for mid-year entry via QTAC to University of Queensland courses.
