All the fun of the fete to raise money for childcare centre

14 July 2005

The Munro Childcare Centre will hold its annual Fete on Saturday, July 16.

The Centre is located at The University of Queensland`s St Lucia campus. The fete is being organised by a committee of staff and parents and will be held at the Centre between 9am and noon.

Committee member Liz Illidge said the Brisbane community was invited to take some time out and enjoy a traditional fete.

“There`ll be things for all the family and the money raised will be going to support the Centre,” Ms Illidge said.

“The Munro Centre has long been associated with quality care of babies and young children up to three-years-old. It was one of the earliest long-day childcare facilities in Brisbane.

“We will have face-painting, games for the children, a jumping castle as well as crafts, raffles, trash and treasure, a sausage-sizzle for the grown-ups and much more.”

The Munro Centre is located on the corner of Munro Street and Sir Fred Schonell Drive at the entrance to the UQ campus.
