UQ leads the State in research funding

The University of Queensland has won $95 million in major competitive national funding for research projects starting in 2007.

UQ won 86% of the National Health and Medical Research Council funding to all Queensland universities, and 74% of the Australian Research Council funding to all Queensland universities.

Overall, that’s between three and four times as much as all other Queensland universities combined.

UQ leads the nation in attracting more income than any other Australian university from the Australian Research Council combined with industry and non-government partners.

UQ is also the university which has won more national teaching awards than any other Australian university.
