UQ’s Highly Cited Researchers continue to thrive

22 November 2022

The University of Queensland has recorded the highest number of Highly Cited Researcher Awards of any Australian university this year.

UQ received 45 of the prestigious awards, identifying global research and social scientists who have demonstrated exceptional influence and impact.

The list is published by Clarivate and is based on research publications that were in the top one per cent most cited in its field and year of publication over the past decade.

Nine of the UQ researchers made the list for the first time this year, with the total number up one from last year.

UQ has the 22nd most awards compared to all global institutions this year, as well as the most in Australia.
