UQ top of Nature rankings

The University of Queensland has returned to the number one spot in Australia in the prestigious 2024 Nature Index Research Leaders.

UQ has been the top-ranked university for three out of the past four years, reflecting the significant impact of UQ’s natural and health sciences research.

UQ was also ranked number one in Australia in 3 subject areas, including Earth and Environmental Sciences (41 globally), Biological Sciences (52 globally), and Natural Sciences (95 globally).

The index is based on publications in influential journals published over the course of 2023, and reinforces UQ’s reputation as a leading research institution.
