UQ researchers partner with German counterparts
University of Queensland researchers have secured funding through the 2024 Australia-Germany Joint Research Cooperation scheme to advance globally-significant projects.
Associate Professor Nicholas Osborne is collaborating with the Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine to study how environmental factors and genetics affect lung health over time.
Dr Jake O’Brien is collaborating with Dresden University of Technology to examine the spread of drug-resistant bacteria and risks to communities and the environment.
The scheme is a joint initiative of Universities Australia and the German Academic Exchange Service.
The researchers will spend time at their partner institutions as part of the collaboration.
