UQ Professor elected American Academy of Microbiology Fellow

Institute for Molecular Bioscience Executive Director Professor Ian Henderson has been elected a Fellow by the American Academy of Microbiology in recognition of his work as a world-leading microbiologist. 

Professor Henderson has dedicated his career to advancing microbiology and his work has influenced diagnostics, treatments, and prevention strategies for life-threatening infections. 

Fellows are elected annually through a highly selective, peer-review process based on their scientific achievements and original contributions that have advanced microbiology.  

Professor Henderson is among 65 Fellows elected to the Class of 2025.
