NHMRC awards $43 million in four new grants

Researchers from The University of Queensland have received more than $43 million from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to address health research challenges from Alzheimer’s disease to youth vaping.

The NHMRC announced 37 UQ grant recipients across four schemes including 14 Investigator Grants, 19 Ideas Grants, 2 Development Grants, and 2 International Collaboration Grants.  

NHMRC Investigator Grants - $18.5 million

NHMRC Ideas Grants – $20.8 million

NHMRC Development Grants – $1.8 million

NHMRC International Collaborative Grants – $2.3 million
